Day 1-2-Skills Programme: Vessels Under Pressure

- Then, we will focus on the safe use of pressure vessels in the workplace.
- Following that, we will examine the role of pressure vessels in a workplace.
- Subsequently, we will explore the factors affecting the systems of pressure vessels.
- Afterwards, we will learn about different pressure vessel devices.
- Next, we will identify different dangers and hazards associated with pressure vessels.
- Then, we will understand various types of testing procedures for pressure vessels.
- On the next day, we will discuss maintenance, examination, and record-keeping for pressure vessels.
- Subsequently, we will go over specific requirements for pressure vessel operation and maintenance.
- After that, we will learn about the control of records related to pressure vessels.

Purpose of the course:
This course is designed to be able to demonstrate knowledge pertaining to the classification, safe use, how it is designed, construction, installation, testing, maintenance, examination, and records of pressure vessels and pressure vessel systems in a workplace. It also covers how to perform legal inspections and write audit reports.
Target group:
This unit standard is for learners who have to demonstrate the ability to monitor; report and advice on compliance with legislation regarding pressure vessels and pressure systems but also how to perform an audit at the workplace.
