Purpose of the course:  
The learners will be able to explain the basic principles of relevant current health and safety legislation and the consequences of non-compliance. 

In order to receive a “certificate of successful completion”, you need to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Legal Liability for Managers and Supervisors : Targeted audience: This course is aimed at 16.1 and 16.2 appointees, all managers, supervisors, executives, management representatives, and also health and safety representatives.     

Course outcomes:  Participants on completion of this course will know and understand:
The knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of the relevant legislation.
The requirements for compliance as stipulated in the current legislation.
Management controls are required under legislation to achieve compliance.
The knowledge and understanding of record keeping required by the legislation.
The legal obligations of the employer in terms of training and communication.

A health and safety program includes hazard identification, risk assessment, and a health and safety plan.
