Inspect, care and store fall arrest equipment:

  • Firstly, the focus is on the inspection of fall arrest equipment. This is followed by the care of this equipment. Next, we look into the storage of the equipment. After that, we discuss the replacement of fall arrest equipment. Lastly, we delve into the definitions related to this equipment.
  • Harness and body belt inspection; Hardware, Lanyards
  • Self-retracting lifeline inspection; Examples of improper connections
  • Cleaning, maintenance, and storage
  • Record keeping: Importance of record keeping, Responsibility

Basic principles of working in elevated positions:

Initially, this theoretical awareness course covers safety measurements regarding Scaffold. Following that, it extends to safety measures for Ladders. Finally, it encompasses Height works in any environment.

Unit standard 9964 Apply Health and Safety to a work area NQF level 2 is worth 3 credits
